I love the yoga rug. I find the texture of my old rubber one not to my liking though it has more grip I dont like that it can get too warm during a session. I put that under the cotton rug.
My teacher informs me that though there is a little less grip with the cotton it makes the body work a little more during the poses.

Really great rug and lovely to practice on. Organic, ethical and fair trade and all that good stuff. It’s nice to have a natural material against your skin when you practice rather than a modern synthetic mat.

It is a beautiful mat and has very much enhanced my practice. Yoga on cotton gives me a greater sense of connection physically and and a greater sense of being grounded and supported by mother earth. It was delivered promptly and very well packaged and I love the tote bag. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I ordered pink but received a blue one.
