Grown and made in Scotland.
A carbon store and the most sustainable block we can ever produce! Our blocks are made from solid douglas fir grown in Fife, Scotland.
Sun, air, water and earth fed my bones. I lived and breathed. I cleaned the air. I sheltered others. I gave life. I scattered my seedlings. And one day, I will return to the earth.
- Entirely natural, untreated wood.
- Made in the UK.
- Exceptionally durable and traditional prop.
- Finish the block as you wish - stain, wax, oil or paint!
Perfectly Imperfect
Every block is different. Douglas fir is a softwood timber commonly grown in Scotland. The block is cut, dried, planed and sanded to ensure a smooth, durable prop. We collect each batch of blocks personally from the sawmill and give each block a final check and finish in Edinburgh.
You may find small cracks around the knots in the wood. This is natural and occurs as the moisture leaves the timber. We will never send a block that is unusable and we believe that these add to their charm. :)
How to use
Use as a traditional yoga brick, usually to support standing postures where you are unable to reach the floor for stability or wish to focus on alignment and muscle activation.
Product care
We recommend oiling or waxing your block to resist surface scratches and moisture from your hands - coconut or linseed oil work well, as does beeswax.
Sustainability
- Our blocks come from sustainably managed woodland, and trees are replanted to replace the cut timber each year.
- Made in the UK.
- Zero-plastic packaging in our supply chain, wrapped in brown paper.
