Sustainably produced the Ekotex Cork Blocks are absolutely beautiful! These are heavier and more firm feeling than foam blocks, and look wonderful at home or in a studio setting.
Ekotex Cork Blocks have rounded edges for added comfort and are ideal when adding lift and stability in standing and balancing poses.
The best organic materials
Cork is a natural, renewable and biodegradable material. Because of this, it is an ideal material for any eco-conscious yoga practitioner, new or experienced. Cork Yoga Blocks are made from the bark of a Cork Oak Tree which continues to grow, so there is no need to cut the trees. Also, our cork suppliers are based in Portugal which reduces the carbon footprint even further.
How to use a cork block
Our high quality cork blocks can change completely your yoga practice. They can be used to facilitate challenging poses, release your body from tension and prevent injuries on the yoga mat. Yoga blocks can also add challenge to the poses, help with alignment and balancing poses.
Yoga Blocks are mainly used for seated poses to add extra height, create support and stability, or just to line up your foundation. A Yoga block can transform your Sukhasana, stretching out the hips and allowing you to get a long straight spine, or the pigeon (Kapotasana) aligning your hips.
Two Yoga Blocks can also help you with the butterfly pose (Bada Konasana) or the forward bend (Uttanasana)bringing the floor to your knees and hands.
